Arun Lam Govada

My name is Arun Lam Govada, Team Lead of The Silk Bridge Team and full-time Licensed Real Estate Salesperson (licensed as Arun Govada) with eXp Realty, serving New York and New Jersey. I specialize in residential sales, multi-family investment properties, and commercial real estate transactions.

Born in the US to Indian parents, I grew up in Hong Kong and now call New York City home. I graduated from Hong Kong International School, earned a Bachelor's in Business from Boston University, and a Master's in Real Estate from New York University. I also hold a Certificate in Professional Coaching from NYU and have lived and worked in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Hyderabad, San Francisco, Boston, and New York across the Real Estate Development, Hospitality and Technology industries. Because of this unique experience, I consider myself a true global citizen with diverse perspective.

After closing almost $6M in Real Estate in my first few months as a full-time agent, I saw it fit to not only expand my service offerings but also to mentor and support fellow agents as they grow in their careers—that's why I started The Silk Bridge Team. Having closed approximately $8M in my first year and now approximately $10M in just the first six months of 2025, our momentum continues to grow.

We're called The Silk Bridge Team because the word S.I.L.K. stands for Service, Integrity, Logic, and Kindness—values that guide and drive us on a daily basis. Words cannot describe how incredible it was to work with Arun. People have told me my entire life that buying a co-op is difficult, but with Arun walking me through the process it was a breeze.Anytime I had a question, he had the answer immediately. Anytime I asked for advice, he was there to give it night or day. And at the times when I needed it most, he fought for me.While we were under contract, I was blindsided with a stage 3 cancer diagnosis at 31 years old. When I was in the hospital, Arun kept in touch with me every single day and scheduled all of the meetings and appointments around my surgery and recovery.The surgery and the closing were a success, and I emerged as a cancer-free owner of a beautiful one bedroom apartment. Arun guided me with grace through the most stressful period of my entire life. I not only gained an apartment, but I gained a friend in the process too. He is genuinely just an incredible guy.

It was my first time working with a real estate agent in New York City and the goal was to find a suitable apartment for my daughter for her sophomore year in college.From the very first meeting I had a good feeling. Arun was friendly, polite, efficient and understood exactly what we needed. He addressed all the concerns I had as a mother and the needs of my daughter. When we narrowed down to a few apartments, he did a virtual walk/tour from the subway station to the apartments as we are based abroad. It was ingenious! It gave my daughter a comprehensive idea of what her living environment would potentially be, and it was fun and entertaining! We were lucky to close the deal relatively quickly, and Arun facilitated all the paperwork and gave my daughter valuable advice along the way. He was most attentive and detailed in helping with the walk-through to make sure the apartment was in good condition. Anything that needed to be fixed or touched up was done within a few days and I settled my daughter into a cozy little apartment within four days of collecting the keys.Arun made the entire process less stressful as he was on top of things, quick to respond and found solutions whenever there were issues. He is extremely professional and truly cares! I would recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone that needs a real estate agent.
